Cash management & Treasury Management
Cash Management and Treasury Management
The proper management of cash is an essential part of any organization be it Public,
Private sector and the NGOs. Cash Management provides an essential framework for
the development and operation of a cash management system. It does so by showing
how to forecast cash flows, which can then be used as the basis for a campaign to
enhance the inflow of cash to the organization.
The importance of the treasury function has been highlighted over the past few years. Risk
mitigation, exposure management and the uses of hedging strategies are all now considered
essential. Treasury managers must be able to use and apply financial products in order to
maximize efficiency in the organization.
