Course Description:
This hands-on course will provide the contractors with a basic understanding of how to prepare a financial plan or budgeted financial statements. It will cover best practices in budgeting and the problems associated with budgeting, tax compliance and how to solve them. It will also enhance their ability to prepare, interpret and use financial information in decision-making.
Purpose– To train contractors on aspects relating to financial planning and tax compliance for a More Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Construction Industry
Expected Training Outcome
By the end of the training contractors will have a better conceptualization of the following:
- The fundamentals of Financial Planning and Forecasting
- Forecasting and budgeting direct and indirect labour costs
- Fundamentals of Forecasting
- Financial planning models
- Budgeting and forecasting capital expenditures
- Completion procedures and applications of the overall profit plan or master budget
