One of the key functions of Payroll Design and Management is Compensation and Benefits. At the core of C & B
is Payroll Management. Payroll Management factors the entire life cycle of an employee within the
organization. This commences from the day one of the employee in the organization to the last day in the
organization. Payroll management is considered as a “Must Have Hygiene Factor” within the organization and
hence it is important that organizations ensure an effective and efficient payroll process.
This program aims to provide the delegates the end to end understanding of the payroll process. This will result
in providing to the organization staff who will be subject matter experts and will be able to apply the principles
of payroll management from day one of their employment in this role.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
– Explain how the HR and accounting and finance functions contribute to their success
-Prepare the monthly payroll and review it for accuracy
-Calculate employee benefits, loans vacations and End of Service Benefits (EOSB)
– Reconcile payroll with accounting and audit the supporting documents for payment
– Develop monthly and annual payroll budgets
– Design periodic payroll management reports and analysis
